We believe that the most important thing in automobile repair spray guns is that “it can be easily and beautifully painted by quickly adapting to evolving paints and maximizing the performance of the paints.” The spray gun must be the “ultimate tool” for our customers. It has been 14 years since the launch of the “Beauty” series of spray guns for two-component paints, and ten years have passed since the launch of the “Extreme” series of spray guns for one-component high-solid paints. Nowadays, environmental consideration, worker safety, simplification of painting work and quality improvement are required. We will raise the level of “extreme” further and aim to be the “ultimate tool” for our customers.

With the conventional one, the amount of air differs depending on the positional relationship between the large and small openings, which may affect the amount of paint ejected and the pattern width. The new WIDER has a redesigned structure that makes it possible to make the openings large and uniform, so we have adopted an air valve seat that has less pressure loss and less individual differences due to screwing. This enables stable painting.

The new WIDER is designed for easy maintenance. By changing the screw pitch of the cap from 1.0 mm to 1.5 mm, it can be tightened in about one and a half turns, which is half of the conventional one, and the rear end of the needle valve is shaped so that it can be easily attached and detached. did. And by providing a straight part without screws on the air and paint nipples, we realized easy installation of the joint.

HISTORY

Ten years after its
birth, the “New’kiwami” series was born.

Anest Iwata, who created the first domestically produced spray gun in 1927, has grown into a world-class global brand while constantly adapting to cutting-edge needs. Also, paints in the automobile repair market are undergoing rapid evolution.
It is sometimes said that it depends on the skill of the craftsman to bring out the performance of the paint. In 2004, Anest Iwata’s first series of spray guns for automobile repair, “Beauty”, was born from the desire to “create tools that maximize the performance of paints.” After that, in 2009, we launched the “Extreme” series exclusively for one-component high-solid paints. The culmination of atomization technology cultivated since 1927 has been incorporated into this “New’kiwami” series and launched as a new brand.

DEVELOPER’S VOICE

The driving force behind the development of new models is

“feelings for products.”

What is important for creating a new model is the “customer perspective” in Anest Iwata’s management philosophy. At our company, a technical painter who was actually in charge of painting at a sheet metal painting factory is in charge of marketing, and while visiting customers, we identify issues and make product development proposals from the customer’s perspective. And our development team embodies the product requirements and develops new spray guns. This time, the development team repeated the production of prototypes and trials many times, and made various tunings to maximize the performance of the paint. And it is this “New’kiwami” that has passed strict quality checks and was completed. Everything was “I want to deliver good products to our customers”, and this desire was the driving force for us.

What we wanted to express was
“no change” and “evolution”.

An important concept in the development of the “New’kiwami” series is “unchanging” and “evolving”. We challenged the development with the idea that “at first glance, we want to express these two confronting concepts in a spray gun.” In other words, it blends in with the feelings of our customers. And it adapts to the rapid evolution of paint and is equipped with the latest atomization technology. It was also our mission to realize these two.
Recently, as a trend of passenger cars, cars with very deep and beautiful colors are attracting attention. Although it is called a high-difficulty paint color, many of these paints are difficult to paint, and performance that makes it easy to paint is required. Such paint colors will continue to increase in the future.
In order to quickly detect paint trends and create optimal spray guns, we will continue to strengthen tie-ups with paint manufacturers, incorporate customer needs, and carry out better manufacturing.
It may be an honest feeling as a spray gun developer to expect the words from customers that “it can only be applied with Anest Iwata’s spray gun”.
